Tax Senior
Full time · Weston office
You carry a book of owner-operated businesses and their owners, and you keep it year over year — the same clients, the same names, so the planning conversation in October is informed by the return you signed in March. Seniors here review staff work and talk to clients directly; a partner is on every engagement, but not standing between you and the person paying the bill.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and review Forms 1120-S, 1065, and 1040 for a recurring book of closely held businesses and their owners
- Run planning through the year rather than at the deadline — reasonable-compensation analysis, quarterly estimates, entity-election math, and year-end timing
- Research and document positions on Florida sales and use tax, multi-state nexus, and depreciation elections
- Review staff work and give the kind of feedback that makes the next return easier instead of the same corrections twice
- Own the client relationship on your engagements, including the calls nobody enjoys making
What we’re looking for
- Florida CPA licence, or CPA-eligible with the exam substantially complete
- Three to six years of public-accounting experience across a mixed tax book
- Working fluency in a professional tax package and in QuickBooks Online
- Able to explain a K-1 to someone who has never read one
